Aleen Bayard, LEED Green Associate, is the Managing Partner of Footprint Partners.

Aleen brings 25+ years of experience in change management strategy, communication, leadership development, project management and marketing to the practice. She has worked with clients across a wide variety of industries, from healthcare and real estate to manufacturing and consumer products.

Aleen holds faculty positions at Northwestern University, University of Chicago’s Graham School and Lake Forest Graduate School of Management. She has designed curriculum and teaches on the subjects of Change Management, Leadership Principles and Practices, Internal Communications, Executive Success Skills and Public Relations. She has developed leadership curriculum for several national associations including the National Association of Realtors, Society of Women Engineers and Building Owners and Managers Association. She is also in the forefront of new curricula focused on change management specifically related to corporate sustainability programs through her involvement as a board member of Illinois Environmental Council and the American Institute of Architects – Illinois.

Aleen earned a bachelor’s degree in communication from Stanford University, a master’s degree in journalism from Columbia University and Master’s degree in organizational change from Northwestern University. She holds a Certificate in Leadership and Sustainability Management from the University of Chicago. She also is certified in Sustainability Planning by Natural Step and is Certified with Barrett to conduct its proprietary Values tool.

Jessica Rivas, MBA/JD, is a Senior Consultant at Footprint Partners. Jessica brings more than 15 years of experience across the apparel, agricultural, electronics, consumer goods, and legal sectors as a sustainability, business development, and legal consultant. She has worked with a variety of companies who use their business models to affect social and environmental change, from start-up social enterprises trying to scale to Fortune 500 companies.

Her specialty is sustainable supply chains, which she teaches as an adjunct professor at DePaul University in the Driehaus College of Business & Kellstadt Graduate School of Business. She has worked with leading global supply chain companies, such as Marks & Spencer, Eileen Fisher, and Vodafone, designing ethical sourcing strategies to incorporate real-time mobile data from factory workers and farmers to increase transparency in their supply chains. She has worked domestically and internationally on sustainable supply chain issues in over 30 countries. She has also presented on sustainable supply chain topics, such as speaking to 200+ apparel suppliers in China on the value proposition of social compliance and engaging with workers through mobile.

Jessica holds an MBA with a focus on sustainability from ESADE Business School in Spain. She also received her JD from William Mitchell College of Law and a BA in English with Honors from the University of Michigan. Jessica currently serves as the Vice President of Strategic Partnerships on the Executive Board for Net Impact Chicago, an international community of changemakers using our jobs to tackle the world’s toughest challenges.

Lana Newlander provides project administrative support and engagement coordination for Footprint Partners. She works directly with our clients to manage project logistics and communications. She also interfaces with our Associates. Lana brings 20 years of experience working with senior executives in banking, real estate and mortgage lending.
