Jessica Rivas, MBA/JD, is a Senior Consultant at Footprint Partners. Jessica brings more than 15 years of experience across the apparel, agricultural, electronics, consumer goods, and legal sectors as a sustainability, business development, and legal consultant. She has worked with a variety of companies who use their business models to affect social and environmental change, from start-up social enterprises trying to scale to Fortune 500 companies.
Her specialty is sustainable supply chains, which she teaches as an adjunct professor at DePaul University in the Driehaus College of Business & Kellstadt Graduate School of Business. She has worked with leading global supply chain companies, such as Marks & Spencer, Eileen Fisher, and Vodafone, designing ethical sourcing strategies to incorporate real-time mobile data from factory workers and farmers to increase transparency in their supply chains. She has worked domestically and internationally on sustainable supply chain issues in over 30 countries. She has also presented on sustainable supply chain topics, such as speaking to 200+ apparel suppliers in China on the value proposition of social compliance and engaging with workers through mobile.
Jessica holds an MBA with a focus on sustainability from ESADE Business School in Spain. She also received her JD from William Mitchell College of Law and a BA in English with Honors from the University of Michigan. Jessica currently serves as the Vice President of Strategic Partnerships on the Executive Board for Net Impact Chicago, an international community of changemakers using our jobs to tackle the world’s toughest challenges.
